Well its about time that we actually attended an event. Edgar, Rad Mike and I decided to hit up the first ClubFR event of the season at the famous USA International Raceway in Shawano, WI. We were all rolling all-new setups for 2010 and despite a few mechanical setbacks, the day could not have gone any better. In a nut shell, our stoke was out of control, bro.

Shortly after the LongGrain incident, we lost the RoskiMachine.

We were driving to work one morning and the motor started playing knock-knock jokes with us down I-55. While trying to limp it home, the hood flew open and smashed itself, the windshield, and the roof.

Roski had just sold his Daily driver not too long ago, so this left him car-less, and since times are hard right now, this forced him to part it out.

So far weve lost Two Cars this season. But on the bright side, Trucky just returned from his long trip to Texas, the return of the Red Shark is almost here, and Frank's new fastback build should be done soon too. Were hoping the end of this season works much better then the beggining did..

Summer is FLYING by. Heres a little recap of what's happened so far... Hasnt been going too smoothly for us.

LongGrain totalled his car at the HIN Pro-Am Qualifier event.

Dont mind the wheels, we hadnt shown up with the cool wheels yet in these shots. The car had just been painted Skyline Midnight Purple ONE DAY BEFORE. It had also just been rebuilt from the ground up, including new motor setup. Horrible luck.

So, I had a brand new set of RPF1's for the return of the Shark already.
They were in perfect sizes too(17x9+22/17x10+18), but I only really got them because I had got them for a pretty good price and their alright wheels. But I decided I wanted wheels that I genuinely DESIRED. Plus I didnt want my car to look like another american "Drift" car with Rpf's on it. Anyway, I decided what I wanted and luckily not long after a set popped up for sale on Zilvia. The seller was nice and they shipped over from Misawa Japan surprisingly fast. They're not TE's/CE's/Equips etc. but their my all time favorite budget Japan wheel and i LOVE polished 1 pc. wheels.

This weekend we finally put on his overs all around.
We got a nice compressor/paintgun setup not too long ago and we finally started playing with it this weekend. Master Trucky painted one of the rear fenders, i painted the other. Cant wait until we spray a whole car, should be really soon.

The car has no front bumper because Roski hulksmashed it to nothing.

Hey, new member here. I'm Ryan, but most of you probably know me as LongGrain. I was just recruited into the squad and thought I would take a minute to Introduce myself and my car. I drive an SR powered fastback, stance, aero, etc... just the basics. I blew it up at DD24 in October and have since been working on rebuilding everything, exterior, interior, and engine. My plans are to get it running and looking rad as soon as possible so I can get back to DRIVING. The midwest recently had its first DD of the season at Gatewey International Raceway in St. Louis. It looks like it was a BLAST, sucks that I couldnt make it. While scrolling through the images I came accross this HOT S14. I hope to see it in person at a local event this year.

So this weekend was a fucking blast. Friday night we went to the Myour house Grand Opening Party and that shit was RAD. One of the coolest parties ive been to in awhile.

Went a little to far with the Blood Alcohol level though, and ended up with the worst hangover of my life and crazy back pains due to Roski throwing me clear over a fence.
Heres a shot that Brendan Lester took of us that I thought was cool.

Saturday morning was horrible horrible hangover morning. 8 hours, 32 glasses of water, and one giant Meatball Sandwich later, I was happy we had a meet later for the forum. I decided to leave my unpainted shitbox at home and rode with Roski and Trucky. The meet was cool, we didnt get any shots this time but a very good amount of nice cars showed up, and we had a hilarious dinner and dope drive to the city. Which was cool. Then we went streeting, Trucky's car means fucking BUSINESS now. Its sorted out completely and drives amazing. Then some guy who followed us there completely biffed it and TOTALED out his mint condition, garage kept 30,000 mile FD3S. That sucked to see. He was just telling us how his dad bought it new in 92 and it had only seen rain 3 times. It was rather unfortunate but it just goes to show... you gotta be careful if you decide to play. The Ooo Dang kids played with us. Their cool.

OH YEAH, I bought a new car car today too, extremely clean California native fastback. Gonna swap everything over and dump this rusty shell i got.

So, this thing has been neglected for far too long.

And its time that changes for good. We havent been updating this, but we HAVE been busy on the cars. Many changes for the good have occured for this new season.

Lets jump right back into this thangie thang here.
Trucky popped the SR's in BOTH of his cars, so he parted his flat black fastback track car and kept building his recently theft-recovered coupe.
It now has a newly rebuilt redtop running tip-top. New parts all over it too, supension, engine, aero, lights, interior, whatever. ITS RAD.

Next up here is me.
Some of you may know... at the end of last year I parted out the Red Shark after I also blew the SR in it(moment of silence). I sold the shell to our good friend Kevin Dykij. And I started on my new car. Im trying to cover stuff quickly so ill spare you guys all the details... It started like this.

And currently looks like this.

Im moving pretty quick and should be done with the car pretty soon. Just building a nice looking car that I can have fun streeting with for awhile. No more SR for me.

Frank's S14(as well as a new car that hes building) and Roski's white fastback have also received some updates and changes that well cover later on.

NOTE: I didnt feel like sitting here for hours and getting into details with the builds and stuff but if your interested in seeing more in depth progress here are the links to each cars respective detailed build thread.

DD24

So we went to DD24 as planned. We drove up in Franks S14, Roski's 180 that I was borrowing for the event, and Trucky's track car. On the way up we had an incident regarding franks diff rubbing through its cover, pissing away all its gear oil and subsequently killing the bearings and such. We were forced to leave it in Sheboygan and pack the rest of us in the remaining two cars, Tires rubbed, spacers had to be removed, but we finally made it to the hotel at about 2:30AM. We WERE supposed to be there at about 6PM according to our schedules. All the rest of the Devil's were asleep already, so we just ran through the halls and got into fights on our own in the room. 9 of us. Next day we woke up an hour late, all the cars were gone from the parking lot already, we quickly checked out, loaded up and headed to the track. There had been some rain in the forecast but luckily it turned out to be only partly cloudy, though it was pretty cold. After tech, Trucky and I were both placed in Intermideatte C and hit the track. I was having absolutely NO luck doing ANYTHING without power steering. I finished my run time just fucking around doing what i could. After that we just rocked some figure 8's for fun at the skidpad. We decided to go to Autozone and pickup a bunch of stuff to try and rig up the power steering(and some gloves for my callused hands). After 30 min. of working on it in the pits and missing one run session, I had regained power steering. Thanks to TRUCKY!! We proceeded to do work for our last run session.

All in all, it was a good weekend, though I wish I could have got more track time and such. But you cant have everything. I cant wait to go back next season in my own car and with everything well prepared!

Also big ups to our homies, Josh, AJ, Chobs, Phil, Leigh, Omar, Eugene, Tall Mark, and everyone else for tearing it up out there too!

White paint. UNGH. This should be done by next spring with any luck.

Had ourselves a little meet for the forum a couple of weeks ago. It was fun. Not much to share.

Hit up my boy Bruce Lee for some vinyl love earlier that week. Notice rad windshield/side windows. River Side, RELAX, K style, Top Night. UGH. Not pictured is Risky Devil Greaser on my Rear bumper.

It should be noted I killed my SR on the way home that day. Thus, that will be the last you see of my car in this state. I've yet to decide what happens now. But the VOLTEX wing is no longer mounted on the car, and will probably never go back on.

Shitty luck huh.

AJ invited us out for a photo shoot a few weeks ago and took some fucking RAD pics of the cars. I spotted this bridge the day before while hanging with some friends at a block party and KNEW it was the right spot. Enjoy some samplage for now, as the rest of the pics have yet to turn up(AJ!!)

It has been a pretty long time...
I do apologize for the lag. The list of excuses is long and detailed.
Alot of stuff has happened.

Since we last updated, we picked up our first sponsor, Works Aero, and made a cameo appearance in their booth at this summers NightShift show. It was Hot as fuck and we were still a bit emo about Trucky's car not being there with us, but managed to have fun anyway. It was FUCKING HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT. Here are some images.

The Red Shark. New pieces include G-grow taillights, and Works Aero Rainbow Flake vented hood.

Frank's mobile. As youve likely noticed.. the car is now equipped with an Origin GT Wing, new wheels(which must not be named) and a Works Aero Vented Hood with rainbow flake.

Arnies Hachi. This car is on GReddy full coilover conversion with spindles, 15x8 0 offset XXR 002's, HKS bolt on's, etc.

Roski's Fastback. Now eqquiped with proper slammage/fitment, Works Aero Rainbow flake vented hood,etc.

All in all it was a great day, met some new cats from the forum world, hung with some Risky Devil family, Watched Josh and Chob fucking KILL IT during the demo, got asked some funny questions, came up on a sick ass tan......cool.

STOLEN: The Trucky mobile!

Sometime last night/early this morning(8/05/08). My good friend Trucky's S13 was stolen from outside of his house. The car was highly modified and was stolen from the southwest Chicago area. He has poured tens of thousands of dollars into his car and countless of hours of working on it.Hes frozen his balls off, and sweated till hes dehydrated multiple times during the cars build, not to mention the hours of overtime to justify paying for the parts. He had just recently finished building it up to his standards and its unfair that some low-life fuck can just show up and take it all away before he could even enjoy it. If you guys could keep an eye out for the car and its parts we'd really appreciate it. It has many highly distinguishable parts on it that their surely gonna try and sell. Heres a few pics of the car.

Some of the mods include, Redtop SR motorset with all the boltons, Ebay FMIC/coldpipe, Hks SSQV with custom hotpipe, 3in downpipe, Apexi N1 exhaust, D-drug coilovers(this is one of the only set left in the midwest, you can tell them apart by the remote reservoirs and red/gray shockbody), Blue DT05R wheels 17x8.5 in the front 17x9.5 in the back.(This is also one of the only set of DT's in the midwest right now), Origin stylish side skirts, rear bumper, 30mm rear overfenders, and V:S Ver IV replica G-corp front bumper, Obviously the car also had a silvia conversion with Dual projector headlamps, and oem metal front fenders and hood.

Feels so good to be able to say were enjoying them. I havent updated for awhile. Fear not.

We're alive and well. Not much been going on lately, street scene is slow right now. But we still come out as much as possible. Much love to our Risky Devil brothers as always.

After months of hard work Trucky finally got his SR running well the night before. Were also going to introduce another squad car we hadnt showed before, Frankmons clean S14 Zenki. This weekend was arguably the first weekend of nice weather here in Chicago. Temps were in the Mid 60's for most of the day. As such, the squad got together for some good hangout times in D*squad Alley. Heres some pics of the madness.

The D*Star car is done as far as this past winters build goes. The car is not as crazy and legit exterior-wise as I intended it to be. Originally I was only going to go full out on the exterior and interior for this winter. But i decided that I needed some power to continue to let my drifting skills grow. As i had almost maxed out the potential of the ka. As such a large portion of the build funds went to the SR and related items. Leaving me with only so much to do what i wanted with the outside. I made do though, and I think it looks decent enough for now. Definetly captured the look I was going for. Ive pulled the fenders more since this pic and i have yet to slam it proper and get some good size tires for the front also.

And heres the inspiration for comparison.

As time goes by ill get some more tidbits like full vinyl, Taillights, overfenders all around, legit wheels, hood, tails, and finally, PAINT! But for now its enough to make me happy to have a cool car again(and with power). Only thing left to do before i go drifting again is sort out my power steering and put my welded in.

The Roski car got out of the paintshop this past weekend. It looks pretty good. Theres some bondo patches here and there but it still looks great. D-max tails are definitely a style boost.
All thats left on this one is to put the 5 lug on the front with the Work's, space them a tiny bit, and slam it.

Introduction to Roski and some D*star progress

Another Squad car we havent touched on is Roskis S13 Fastback. He's only had the car about 6 months and just started his mini-build last month. He started with a busted, but 100% rust free chassis that looked like this.

We replaced the whole front end from the doors forward,fenders,hood,bumper support, headlamp assemblies, and lined everything up correctly, replaced the rear hatch, put his aero on, rolled the his fenders, installed and set his Stance suspension, and put his Works on in the rear, were waiting on some 5 lug stuff to put his fronts on.

The car is currently off at the paint shop getting some bodywork and full spray job, should be back this weekend. Theres alot more parts and details of the build obviously but this is just a progress report. For detailed walkthrough of Roskis build go HERE.

In other Squadron news, the D*star car is nearing completion after the arrival of some much needed pieces to the puzzle. Heres a quick peek. More pics and info soon.

Next post, we will show yet another Squad members car and hopefully some near finished pics of some of the other builds.

So i just found some old pics of my car from last summer.
Man it makes me miss the way it was, the wheels and all of that.
Makes me think about what im doing with it twice. But, alas, we must move forward.

That was the last night i drove my car looking that cool.
I crashed it into a curb pretty hard trying some Choku entries, and tore up the all the aero real good, bent a couple of the mint SSR's, lost one piece of the wing.

After that it wasnt the same and i started selling some of the stuff off...I miss the wheels the most. Damn you Henry why'd you sell them!!!

Figured id shine some light on some of the cars for you guys.

Well start off with the D*star car.
For the most part it used to be an Old school styled street scene car.

It was basically just slammed super low on Stance coilovers, Deep, cambered, SSR formulas, Origin/Version:Select aero bits, and some other stuff.

This year, the car attempts to go Big League and make a major style statement, while being driven hard. Its still under construction although its about 80% done now.
Big Changes include S14 SR with stock T28, all the major bolt-ons, boost up, Big wheels, full aero, Voltex GT wing, Bucket seat, suspension arms, and bunch of other shit. Details arent really necessary and mod lists are pretty gay.

Lots of Progress is to be made in a short amount of time so pics are far from final.

Next up is Trucky's Silvia...
This car was also an old schoolish street scene car as seen here...

Car was just slammed low on D-drug coils, sportmax's, Origin aero, seat, bolt-on ka..etc.

This year, the Trucky mobile is also attempting big League status with Some SR power, full aero, widebody, big wheels, etc. Again no need for all the details.
